Watching the US Open this year has opened up some dialogue on appropriate shoe gear and inserts for tennis shoes.  John Mcenroe commented that Andy Roddick had foot concerns and was awaiting a new pair of orthotics for his tennis shoes.  With any sport it is important to wear the appropriate shoe gear for both comfort and support.  Orthotic inserts, both custom and prefabricated can alleviate and prevent a multitude of injuries that stem from sports such as tennis.

Foot Care Centers of Vineland, NJ, along with several other health care providers and organizations, was invited to the 2nd Annual Petway Elementary School Health fair.  The event was held on June 1, 2011, and was designed to promote healthy living.  Over 200 students, parents and faculty were in attendance.

Dr. Diana Tsombaris and Dr. Ronald Markizon answered questions about athlete's foot, warts, flat feet and various foot deformities.  Properly fitting shoe and orthotic recommendations were also given.
